The Albany Leadership Charter High School for Girls’ Parent Advisory Board (ALH-PAB) would like to welcome current and prospective parents to the upcoming 2011 – 2012 year. The ALH-PAB is a parent advisory board whose membership includes parents/guardians, ALH Administration and hopefully students will join our ranks in the coming school year.

The ALH-PAB’s mission is to establish a cooperative relationship between parents, our school and the community by extending opportunities for all to participate and become involved in events that promote our daughters’ academic and athletic well being. The ALH-PAB will raise awareness and funds to achieve our goals.

Again, welcome to all prospective and returning parents. We urge parents to participate in the upcoming school year. The difference between a good charter school and a GREAT charter school is the participation of parents. We are a TEAM and TOGETHER we make our school a better place for EVERYONE!!

ALH PAB Arrival
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH not later then 7:15 a.m. to be escorted to the Student Union Hall to monitor the quiet activity ALH’s young women engage in prior to the start of school. Parent/Guardian monitoring activity will end at 8:03 a.m. when first period begins.

ALH PAB Late Passes
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH not later then 8:00 a.m., to be escorted to the Late Pass Distribution Area. Parent/Guardian will complete and distribute late passes to ALH young women who arrive at school after 8:03 a.m. when first period begins. Parent/Guardian Late Pass Distribution monitoring will end at 8:30 a.m..

ALH PAB Traffic Safety (Arrival and Dismissal Hours)
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH not later then 7:15 a.m. or 4:05 p.m. to be provided with Safety Reflector Vest and the location to be manned to offer traffic safety for ALH young women. Parent/Guardian Traffic Safety monitoring will end at 8:00 a.m. or 4:50 p.m.

ALH PAB Detention Supervision
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH on the day chosen to supervise our future leaders during detention. 

Observer
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH on the day of the week you have chosen to observe and inform ALH personnel of your intent. ALH personnel will provide you with a school schedule. Arrive at the classroom of your choice, inform the teacher that you are there to observe and take a seat.

ALH PAB Hallway Volunteer Parent/Guardian will assist in the hallways during class transitions.

ALH PAB Concession Stand
Parent/Guardian will arrive at the Main Office of ALH not later then fifteen (15) minutes prior to the ALH event volunteered for. Parent/Guardian will set up concession stand and ensure that the concession stand area is returned to pre-event conditions. Parent/ Guardian will collect and tally monies taken in. Parent/Guardian will ensure that all monies and unsold merchandise are returned to ALH personnel at the end of the event.
